Weekend Tourists!

Today we have been true tourist! Yancy and I braved finding a coffee shop and ordering - it was quite comical. We got succeeded in getting coffee, and wanted a fruit cup they had. The fruit cup was on display was to show you that it would be blended into a juice. We tried to ask (using our handy Korean translation app) for fruit only, no fruit juice....after several attempts of trying to communicate, we just paid for our coffees, and went on our way!

We went to the Gyeongbokgung Palace to see the 'Changing of the Guards' ceremony, but missed half of it...we will catch it another day. Then we toured the palace...it is a replica of the original one. It was amazing...unbelievable architecture and detail.

For lunch we ate at a North Korean restaurant. Yancy indulged; he is in love w/ Korean food. I'm learning to like Korean food. If it wasn't for our tour coordinators, we wouldn't have tried half the variety of foods.

We are on our way to Busan, on the bullet train, KBX. Busan a city on the Sea of Japan, and is pronounced with a 'P', Pusan. There we will go to a market, and a place called 'Spa Land!' Right up my alley!!

We will stay in Busan until Monday, then the remainder of the week will be more focused on birth family searching w/ a little added shopping too!

Some of you have asked what my first impression of Korea is....AMAZING! We have already taken so many pictures capturing the beauty of this place, that we will have to buy another memory card for the camera!

Having troubles downloading pictures! I will keep trying!

Update: Busan is a fun city! We went to SpaLand - I am in true heaven there....it has everything you can think of! :)
